SKENG DON BIOGRAPHY
Twenty-year-old Kevon Douglas, more popularly known by his stage name Skeng, has been releasing hit after hit after hit. Officially coming onto the music scene in 2019, the Wolmerian expressed that he always had a love for music and the arts.
Before venturing into the world of music, Skeng says at one point in his life his aspiration was to become a journalist. However, after rethinking, the artiste thought it involved too much talking and preferred to express himself through music.
Attending several schools throughout his life, including Sen Simon Basic School, Wolmer’s High School for Boys and St George’s College, it was at his final stop, The Quality Academy, that the DJ started to place serious focus on his musical career.
Influenced by the once ongoing musical battle between Gully’s Mavado and Gaza’s Vybz Kartel, he first recorded his music in a New Kingston studio. Skeng, who has recorded more than 30 songs, including Brrp and Street Cred, is most popularly known for his 2021 single, Gvnman Shift.
